In 2005 we decided that we should walk the talk and build
our own panel. Since that time we have used varying approaches to
build and engage a diverse group of New Zealanders.
Our population comes from everywhere. Farmers in Southland
to frothy milk coffee drinkers in Ponsonby Road. They come in
all ages, ethnicities and sizes - though the last point we don't
plan to quantify any time soon!
Our mission is to ensure that Buzz.thePeople is New
Zealand's highest quality research panel and in particular that our
panel represents New Zealand both demographically and
attitudinally.
So, unlike most other panels available in New Zealand:
- We have never recruited off any other New Zealand research or
public panel, nor do we recruit through invitations at the end of
our clients' surveys;
- We have designed a reward structure to ensure all sorts of
people do our surveys, not just those motivated by a chance to win
a prize or to earn money;
- We have focused our recruitment offline, and not relied on
online advertising such as AdWords or Facebook advertising to
invite people onto our panel.
Our sophisticated rewards structure ensures the
participation of a wide range of people from all walks of life, and
the part we like best is our substantial community giving
programme.
